I NEED a written calendar. Because I don't do the office thing anymore, I can make due with my realtors annual calendar that he gives away for free. The squares are big enough to write most of what I need to remember and yet also limited to ensure I'm not packing too much into my day (which is an important part of my recovery.) When the square is too full and there isn't enough white space in the squares for the week, I know I'll have a problem. So, the visual cue is helpful.
Good pens are a necessity. Even though I'm no longer working, I still have my favourite pens at the ready, even if it's just for the grocery list or the little ideas and reminder notes.
I switched to Leuchtturm notebooks with the dots so I could do more than just write--I could map out and plan my garden and now my flower beds as well as write. I like the hardcover medium size, but I also have a slightly smaller soft cover I'm using as well. Different books for different projects and in great colours. I carry my writing one (with my favourite pen) everywhere I go. Just in case the great idea strikes when I least expect it. All these little things makes me happy. :) xo
LOVE this, Kim! It’s all about a good pen and quality paper. And when those two collide, it’s delicious. And I love how you have set up your calendar, and the way it works for you. One of the things that supposedly sells very well is printable calendars on Etsy and Canva. So you aren’t alone in your unbound ways! LOL. And see next week’s post for on-the-go solutions. I’ve got one I think you might like. xo
I have a few Montblanc (my husband used to work for the group that make them) and I rarely use them. I like fat nibbed pens as I gave big handwriting and the M pens aren’t quite comfortable enough for me. So there you have it! I remember having a Schaefer fountain pen a million years ago at a goo that was wonderful to write with. I wonder if they still make them… going to check! I like little notebooks too, I buy pretty ones when I’m in Spain for next to nothing. But I write a lot of poems in Notes on my phone. I’m so used to it now… thanks for all the tips and idea ⭐️
Thank you, Francesca! My friend brought me back a little notebook from Spain. It feels like the cover is made of cork. It’s one of my travellers. Love it. And you know when a pen is right for you (audible pun intended). Doesn’t matter what it is; it’s how it works for you. And Schaefer, Shaefer, Shaffer, Scheaffer has so many different spellings, is this the company that made your fave? xo https://sheaffer.com/collections/all?srsltid=AfmBOoonUJjfijm32dsju3dt7I_bAZJOhYilx8qu-DHzjSnFgQySsixy
